Additional Information

The track name "Krell Metal" was Johns suggestion (he often comes up with the ideas for the track names). Having listened to it we decided the name fits it well, it has a certain metallic/industrial feel to it, add the sci-fi reference and it fits perfectly.

The track was originally recorded on the 18th August 1996 after Ashok Prema approached us and asked us contribute to a charity style album he was putting together. At that time he was still hoping to get a track from Chris Franke but unfortunately due to time pressures that track never materialised. Consequently Ashok decided to turn it into a showcase for British artists and hence you now have the album in its' current form.

Krell Metal was remixed (just a little), early in 1997 ready for Ash to put onto the album. The remixing was mainly to adjust the balance between the three of us and fill out the occasional section which perhaps lacked a little body. It was recorded at Running Frog studios where we do most of our recording now. It was done in a single take straight to ADAT and DAT. We had aggreed to do something like 3 10 minute tracks to try and come up with something. As it turns out we ended up using the first track we put down.
